Michigan Senate Passes Law to Rig the Courts to Protect Snyder

Michigan_Senate[1]The Michigan Senate┬áhas fast-tracked a bill introduced just days ago by Sen. Rick Jones (R-24) that could insulate the state government from culpability over misdeeds under Gov. Snyder. SB-652 passed in the Senate today under “immediate passage” and “immediate effect”. The bill moves on to the House for approval.

What this bill does is strip Ingham County Circuit Court of its position as court of authority in all claims above $1000 against the state of Michigan, including Gov. Snyder. The proposed law would instead have the Michigan Supreme Court appoint four judges from the Court of Appeals to hear these cases.

Ingham County leans Democratic, and so does its judiciary. Gongwer News Service explains the political ramifications thus:

The Court of Appeals has several judges from both the Democratic and Republican spheres, but the Supreme Court, which would make the appointments, has a 5-2 majority of justices nominated by the Republican Party. Maybe the Supreme Court would decide to appoint, say, two appeals judges named to the bench by a Democratic governor and two by a Republican governor, but that would be a surprise.

One must only wonder — what’s the rush? Is there something they’re not telling us?

Then they should all be held accountable as accomplices to his crimes.

  2. Rick says:

How did Ingham County Circuit Court get its position as court of authority in all claims above $1000 against the state of Michigan, in the 1st place?

  3. Christine Bryant says:

There is something coming down the pike and it is big. I suspect it has something to do with the Emergency Manager Law, but who knows with this Governor it could be one of many, many things.

  4. Tom Daniel says:

we are going to be taking it into the wallet shortly

This is the kind of thing that occurs when working class people think they are Republican, then vote and elect a Fortune 500 CEO as their Governor. I might add one that bankrupted his own company.

During his election I kept asking how long it would take for him to Bankrupt Michigan? The answer – when you consider all the municipal bankruptcies since he took office – is: Just under 2.7 years.

And… NOW, they want to RE-elect him? WHY? I ask you WHY?

    • Anna says:

Gateway was not his company. He still owns and runs his own business based in China!

      • Henry says:

        Anna: FYI…

“Snyder joined the computer company Gateway, based in Irvine, California, in 1991 as the executive vice president. He also served as president and chief operating officer from 1996 to 1997. He remained on the board of directors until 2007.”

“Gateway has outsourced some of its operations, such as customer support.”

“However, amid widespread complaints about its reputedly poor customer service, none of these efforts was particularly successful from a financial standpoint, and Gateway continued to suffer major losses as well as market share in the PC business. By April 1, 2004, Gateway had announced that it would shut down its 188 remaining stores.”

“He then co-founded Ardesta LLC, an investment firm…”

        Begin DLEG information regarding Ardesta:

Ardesta LLC is registered in Michigan with its Resident Agent located at 201 Main Street in Ann Arbor. http://www.dleg.state.mi.us/bcs_corp/dt_llc.asp?id_nbr=B81185&name_entity=ARDESTA,%20LLC%5D

At the very least he was a MAJOR EXECUTIVE on the Board of Directors during all of Gateway’s Tribulations and closing of its remaining stores.

And, his current business is not located in CHINA, but rather [according to the State of Michigan DLEG records] in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

I am glad you now know the FACTS!

Synder unloaded on the retirees to “balance” the budget….big deal picking on those who are most vulnerable….EVERY RETIREE SHOULD NOT FORGET THIS AT ELECTION TIME…anyone could have done this before but did not want to further harm those on limited incomes. Rat….errr rick synder said the heck with those free-loaders who had worked their whole lives to try to relax a bit in retirement….let’em go back to work. He’s not a problem solver he just shifts the problems to those who can’t defend themselves.

  8. Special Agent T. Robinson says:

There is nothing wrong with the government of the United States…the people’s problems come from Bureacrats, Special Interest Groups, Policy Makers and Politicians who have no righteous morals for the american citizens. It seems as though the nobility from Europe (dark ages), Asia and other countries are surfacing to bestow oppressive methods on the people. And these mentioned criminals have the nerve to indicate that we, the obedient americans, are acting in an unamerican way. Now if the Constitution of the United States (14th or 15th I think) gives the confederated states power that is not taken by the federal government and these same states that created their own lawful constitution under the lawful admendments only to have their constitutions null and void by the federal government notifies the people that they have no rights unless the federal government approves. If the U.S. Constitution denies the rights and titular status of nobilities and monarchy, then someone has “hoodwinked” the American people into a false sense of democracy. If there is no God, then the american people are is trouble.
